Course Description
Families play in important role in the treatment of their loved one – their partner, their teen or young adult, their spouse, their family member. Education is key to learning about medication assisted treatment and treatment options. Learning about Medication Assisted Treatment and treatment services empowers the family with facts, and can help individuals advocate for the needs of your family member and loved one. Family members may help by motivating their loved one to enter and stay in treatment, providing financial support transportation to treatment, ensuring a safe living environment, helping your loved one to get to recovery support meetings, and to avoid or overcome relapses.
Course Modality: This is an independent home-study course. Students will take the course according to their own timeline.
